Just put £5.00 E/w on the Championship Handicap Blackpool with +16 points advantage 18-1 could win just under £125

basically pete, and it's all new to me to (it's my new job). They set the league table out and work out what it's going to be before it starts, then they give points handicaps to all the teams below top (ie, in the above case, they (WH) think Blackpool will finish more than 16 points below the championship winning opposition.)
so if pool finish 4th and are above all other clubs that were handicapped similarly, smileyhappy511 wins lotsadosh.
of course pool then win the playoffs and we are so deliriously happy that 511 just melts into the fun!!!!

Thanks guys. Understand the points bit but what about the EW bet?
Can see us easily being within 16 points of the top and worth a punt at 18-1 but do we have to finnish 4th or above?
I always like the first goal scorer and correct result bets. At White Hart Lane I was £150 better off on a two pound bet at the 85th minute. soooooooooooooo close. Anyway all history now.

E/W = if you put £5 on it is £5 each way so its £10 but it covers the top 4 places at 1/4 of the odds So hope this makes sense and hope I'm right lol £5 goes on the win (1st place) 18-1 £5 covers the top 4 places at 1/4 of the odds

Don't forget that you have to work out all the other team's handicaps as well when settling the bet.
I had us on the handicap at +30 when we got promoted but Newcastle who were on scratch finished 32 points ahead of us.
I have had £20 on Nobbers to be relegated again at 25/1 :-D
