I refuse to put this guys profile back up lol, 3 times he turned us down even though Newcastle accepted a bid of 1,7 million, do we want somebody who did not want to come in the first place?
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway says the Seasiders are still hopeful of securing the services of striker Nile Ranger on a loan deal from Newcastle.
Pool reportedly made an offer for the 20-year-old in the recent transfer window but a deal failed to materialise.
However, chairman Karl Oyston remains in talks with the Tyneside club and is trying to arrange a loan deal for the young hitman.
Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette: "I don't like talking about other people's players but my chairman has been talking to them constantly, though nothing has materialised yet."

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
wake me up when he's made his mind up!
smiled at "young hitman" think that's exactly what he thinks he is.
I do feel a bit of a hypocrite, though, if he signed for us I'd be supporting him all the way.
Not easy being a Blackpool supporter

I think if someone asked me a month ago would you prefer to buy or loan this guy, I would have said Loan. I wouldn't normaly have an opinion on a player until I had seen him play but a lot was said about him which I couldn't ignore, so for the sake of the club and I have reservations over him, would trust Ollie's judgement. I have no doubt he has plenty of talent, but I have also no doubts about Ollie being a disciplinarian, the guys do just as he says and on the rare occasions they don't he will ship them out or rest them. I don't think Ollie takes anything lying down.

from the gazette
BLACKPOOL target Nile Ranger has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
The 20-year-old Newcastle striker was bailed pending the results of a blood test after he was stopped by police.
A fortnight ago the London-born player was arrested on suspicion of assault after a 33-year-old was found unconscious outside a pub in Newcastle city centre. He was later bailed.
Ranger has been linked to a number of clubs after falling out of favour with Newcastle bosses.
In May he issued an apology after he was photographed striking a gangster pose with a replica handgun.
On Friday he posted pictures of his black and white customised Range Rover on his Twitter account.
It features the word “Ranger” on the bonnet in official Range Rover lettering.
The Seasiders have made a number of attempts to sign the striker in recent weeks.

He epitomises the ever increasing number of young footballers with too much money, too much attitude and not too much between the ears.
As a fellow human being, I hope he turns his life around and does good but as a Blackpool fan - I hope he does it somewhere else.
UP THE POOL
