I am disgusted at the comments of some so called fans towards Ian and the team.
Everybody has a right to a opinion but for fooks sake grow up.
you have no idea how god dam lucky you have been the last 2 years so stop moaning it was never going to be easy this year but to start saying ollie should go and you don't care if he does is just complete madness.
so lets just clear a few things up you moaning bastards
1. Its Karls club end off and he will do what he wants and do what he thinks is right at the time this will not change so get use to it.
2. we are no longer in the prem so get over it and move on.
3. stop comparing this years team to last years its not fair or realistic
4. Some of Ian signings have not worked out, so what he's human and humans make mistakes.
5. Their is no ty**CENSORED** waiting to buy the club so see point 1
6. The money from the premiership adventure is not yours and never will be so stop demanding that you have some sort of god forgiven right to spend it.
7. If you really think that Ian should leave please go and watch football at the other end of the M55
8. Try supporting for a change rather than complaining
9. its not the end of the world we are only 5 points outside the playoff places with another 30 plus matches to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If your upset with my opinion so be it, just support and help pick Ian and the lads up, its not that hard if you try

I am one of IH's fans but the team today showed little enthusiasm and at the end of the day the manager is the one who motivates the team and today the team lacked any sort of spark, they looked as though they were just going throught the motions. This is not communist Russia, people are entitled to voice their concerns and if you don't like what I have put, tough, just ban me, I really couldn't care a fuck.

There is some understanding in your comments Sher.
However, in business nobody is perfect and we are all judged on what we achieve now not in the last 2 years.
Does this mean that if we lose the next 10 games on the bounce we should not make a change?
Whether a fan is this year or has supported the club for 40 years we all have the right to complain or disagree, there is nothing wrong with a fan voicing an opinion in a correct and structered manner.
After last year its only natural that we would prefer a return to the PL at the first attempt, we all had a taste of the promised land.
Fans expectations are high and it maybe that we are a fickle bunch but there are concerns about the players signed so far with a large majority not up too the mark or standard at this point in the season.
I have to agree with Whits observation of the team last night, the issues remain the same and I am not too sure if its anything to do with time needed for players to adjust to the system.
Perhaps the system should be changed to suit the players currently at the club?
UTP.

We all know things are not right at the moment but calling for Ian's head is just plain stupid at the moment and just fed up of everybody blaming Karl, he will never change right or wrong but what is the point in trying to get people to call for him to sell the club?
its not going to happen and we all know that, just causes more unrest, I hated watching last night as we just looked like we did in the first half against forest and got really annoyed at people saying the manager should go

I'm totally with Sherlock on this.
We need patience, and if it takes all season, so be it. You only have to look at Liverpool yesterday to see what an exceptional talent we lost. IH came back from his time in the wilderness vowing to play attacking football. He currently doesn't have the players who can achieve what we have done in the last two years. Where I do differ totally with some fans is the belief that if we'd spent a couple of million, we'd have got our midfield genius, or 20 goals a season striker. They cost far more than that.
Don't think it's about banning anyone for expressing a different view, but treating each other's views with respect is the norm on here. If we're honest, ALL our expectations have increased, but I really question how moaning to the manager, chairman and players is going to take us forward.
3 years ago we'd have been chuffed to bits to be halfway up the Championship, we can get back to the Prem again, but not if we become the sort of club that sacks it's manager after a few games going wrong.
Edit to add : Freedom of speech is a right, but also comes with responsibilities. If you were the players and manager at the moment, getting slagged off left right and centre, would you feel motivated? We were so proud of being the twelfth man for the last two years, now on other message boards, some "fans" are doing the oppositions work for them. And please do not pretend that in this day of social media, players and the manager should not read this stuff.

I would hope that we can all accept other peoples comments and opinions without throwing our toys out of the pram.
Replacing IH is not the solution at this point of the season.
Whether or not spending some money might have resulted in a different situation will always be up for debate, I would suggest that it may have helped.
Surely every fan is looking for the club to progress and remain viable as a business, people have different aspirations although I can understand the frustrations.
I joined this forum as I expected reasonable banter and debate, after reading the site for a while I decided most of the participants were educated, if I wanted to use foul language and shout and scream I would have joined one of the other sites.
To date I think most people are respecting other opinions and I trust it will continue.
Of course I may be wrong about the educated part.

If by educated you mean using words of more than 1 syllable, guess it's true. And speaking Turkish helps ( haven't a clue what Yeni is on about half the time! LOL) I guess what I can't grasp is this level of criticism when we are halfway up the table. If we were in the relegation zone, I would understand more, although still be shouting for the magical Ollie to be given at least a whole season. The analogy I see is SAF at Manure, when it went pear shaped early on, they stuck with him, and I genuinely think if Ollie is given solid financial and supporters support over a long period of time, we might make the leap from occasional success to sustainable Premier league. Those who chop and change only get success by spending £300M plus per year. I was so disappointed that even when we put 5 past Brizzle, they were still moaning. As you say, we all have different opinions, pretty boring board if we all agreed all the time!

There will always be supporters that are unhappy with the situation, you can't please everybody.
I must admit that I had a quick look at some of the other sites, whilst there is some terrible comments on IH and KO (childish) some of the contributors have reasonable suggestions on the issues faced on the field.
A team can lose every game and the fans would be happy, its all about being committed and 100% effort on the pitch.
Whatever your view is on the management the play is not good enough, be it lack of width or the ability to pass the ball to a defence that appeared 5 minutes behind the play.
Our current league position is fine, Bristol City would be happy to swap places.
One other point to consider is Ollies state of mind, after watching him last night he didnt appear to have any answers, no plan B.
Big game against Leeds, I fear IH might explode at some point.

Disappointing start to the season and a poor performance last night but I just wish the fans could keep some perspective. I agree 100% with Sher on this and whilst I would accept and even encourage debate, cause thats whats great about being a fan, wish that some of the muppets on AVFTT would stop bleating and just get behind the club.
Why do they think things are so bad??
The championship is a great league and about right for our current form and size. FACT.Yes we would all love to be back in the Prem but please accept that we were not ready for it last season and got there due to some fantastic loans and one or two outstanding individuals (one of which was the manager). Our trip to Wembley was one of the best days of my life and will live with me forever. I feel privaledged to have been there and enjoyed the trip last season.
For reasons I won't even go into I happened to be at Rochdale Vs Orient yesterday with some old mates and believe me we the comparisons to watching Pool are stark. We've got it good at every level and yet there are some who still think we have a right to be in the top flight. GET REAL!
I am proud of our players ( can anyone name a better squad in the last 20 yrs?), the ground, which is light years away from the embarrassment of old, the manager, who is a proper person with passion and dignity and our Chaiman who won't jeopordise our clubs future for a bit of short term glory.
Said my bit now!

Sherlock, I agree with every point you make. The team needs support more when they are down than when they are up. Karl quite rightly takes no notice of stupid critism, but not everyone has that gift. In Ian I Most Sincerely Trust. Up the Pool.

I feel a lot of sympathy for Olly. After last year and the amazing financial platform the Club found itself in, not just with the parachute payments, but the Charlie transfer fee too, I think Olly expected slightly better treatment in the transfer windows than he got. The danger signs were there last January............ Olly did his best to show a united front with his chairman, constantly going on air to praise his eminent sense.......towards the end of the January and summer transfer windows, you could see the exasperation building, however, he still tried to be positive. You can only baloney for so long before it wears you out and I think Olly has had enough now, and is worn out trying to make a purse out of a pigs ear. His comments recently have been trying to keep the fans support there for his team, but also now not shielding the Scrooge any more. This isn't helping the team spirit, as he is saying that the team he is fielding isn't the one he would have liked to have out each week. I fear he will implode soon on TV, or walk away - he knows that there are more important things in life having spent a year out, and may decide that fighting a locked/chained and buried safe is too much hassle.
I am also glad that whatever position we end up this season, we will still be an a far better position than the M55otherenders.

Totally agree with Sherlock. My take is that by its very definition, a "supporter" is one who supports. If you cant do that through thick and thin then its a poor do and you should have a look inside yourselves. Time for a reality check for some people methinks. The easiest way to get our great manager to walk away is to keep up the totally uncalled for criticism of his team. These internet forums mostly grew from the success of the play off season, the trip to Wembley and the fantastic season in the Premiership. It was easy to agree with one another when all was going so well but now it is time for REAL supporters to stand up and be counted when the garden isnt so rosy. All those who have ever stood on the Shay at Halifax on a cold and rainy midweek night or suitable equivalents will not be too unhappy at where our club is right now. Come on, get behind the lads. REMEMBER, YOU ARE WITH THEM OR AGAINST THEM, ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. NO IFS, BUTS OR MAYBE'S. ITS ONE OR T'OTHER, END OF. UP THE POOL

I can't remember fans ever putting this much pressure on the team. The only time I can remeber ever expecting to do well (meaning play offs or promotion) is when we were in division 4/league 2. Even when we went up to the Championship no one expected it, after that we were happy with staying up. Then Ollie come along but still nothing was really expected. So what I'm trying to say is lets get back to reality and be grateful for the 2 amazing seasons we have had and get behind the team, you have to remember we have lost 3 top class players over the close season in DJ, Charlie and Vaughan and they are hard to replace as we are not like Man City with money to burn.

Didnt know about the bus station Sher but I bet it was warmer than the ground,,,lol. Had a quick look at the Halifax Town website. They are twelfth in the Blue Square North with illustrious fixtures coming up against teams like Solihull Moors. Absolutely no disrespect to either team and I bet a lot of their fans are happier than some of the misery guts we seem to be attracting of late but just highlighting how quickly the fate of football clubs can change. I notice they do have a 1st Round FA Cup game against League One high flyers Charlton Athletic coming up soon though. Doesnt seem that long ago that the same Charlton Athletic were in the Premier League does it. UP THE POOL
