Well it's 8.15 Wednesday and not one word from any of you guys, did no one go! It sounded very exciting following the substitutions and the last twenty minsuts or so could have gone either way. Now being there and listening to it is a world apart so, Ince I have seen and have commented in the past how I thought he would progress so his performance comes as no surprise but how about young McManaman and Shelvey, was he injured?

Couldn't go myself but ended up watching BBC text commentry (pretty sad I know!) To come from behind, to what is reported to be a flooky goal, and win in the 94th minute with a screamer must give confidence to the team. Another win on Saturday and we'll be up and running. Looks like we have some great impact players, especially Ince who made two against Bristol City and could have scored himself (last time I was at Bloomers). If anyone has a link to his goal last night I would love to see it. The Premiership hangover is finally put to bed and by Christmas we'll have a settled team banging them in for fun. Can't wait till Saturday, when I'll be wearing my lucky shirt in the West Stand.

Morning, Whit.
I was there in my usual seat (with bro-in-law this time) and to sum up overall, let's say we made a hard job of the 3 points.
Ince, though, had a good game, Fergie's goal at the death was an absolute cracker (makes a change for us to score in the last 15), Southern harried them all night, (sorry, Ted)though a couple of misplaced passes got the old ticker working overtime, Gilks had a world-class full stretch save in second half, but I would say that putting on 3/4? subs at once (I got lost with all the toing and froing there!) was a bit dubious - what if someone got injured and no further subs allowed, but I would say that was when our game changed for the better.
Donny didn't make it easy for us - how are they where they are in the league, especially with Sullivan (old Scots international that he is) performing heroics between the sticks? Mind him when the last time we played Donny in the league - he was 'keeper then.... Chimbonda was a handful at times as well. Awkward sod.
A workman-like three points.
Haven't seen the tables yet, but I'd like to think we're back up near the play-off zone again?
YL.
"..Fergie's goal..." my apologies, I still haven't caught up with the names to the faces, etc., yet - missed a few incomings (and outgoings) this season as you all know. YL.

Its taken me a while to get my thoughts together after last night and maybe calm down a bit No real way of sugar coating it and i am not normally critical of the team but the the first half was not even league one standard they where awful simple as that, had we been playing a side on form we could have easily have been 3 or 4 down. lots of possession but no movement at all in the first half and i am sorry but Ferguson and southern does not work one of them has to give way in midfield, we need to try something different. I hold my hand up about being one of those that wanted to hang Gilks by the nearest lamppost for his comments before the season but without him at the moment we would be in serious trouble he made some cracking saves last night and fully deserves MOM. I found it rather strange the boos that Ian received last night for bringing jonjo off because in my humble opinion he had not had a outstanding game last night and the difference was clear for all to see with GTF dropping into midfield and the 3 subs coming on. Well done young Tom Ince two fantastic goal's the first being my favorite We can not carry on with second half rescue mission's if only we could start a match at the moment how we finish a match at home we would be clear by half time. lets get back to our attacking play from the start and put the fear of god into teams coming to Bloomfield, please. As for the officials not to bad but they seemed not to notice the sexual attempts the back 4 of Donny carried on making on Boggy who was constantly attacked from behind ;D 3 points is 3 points at the end of the day

Was not there last night but was watching and listening to the reporter at the game on several occasions on ssn and first half was poor and un-Blackpool like according to him. We created nothing and Donny well on top, comfortable and unfortunate not to be 2 or 3 up!!! Having said that last 30 mins after subs made that all changed and we apparently threw the kitchen sink at them and they couldn't handle us. Totally agree sherlock, have been saying since the Palace game ref Fergie and Gnashers, one has to go and make way for a creative midfielder and for me sorry Ted but Gnashers for me over Fergie! What has happened to Grandin and Bruna or why doesn't Sylvestre get a sniff at the mo!

Morning all, interesting comments guys, but little said about McManaman, did he impress? As for the triple substitution that has recently become established, I first saw it at happen at Brighton when 2-0 down and it worked there, at the Boleyn it was far to late, should have come on soon after the 2nd went in. I can only assume that when a team puts on 1 sub the opposition know a bit about the player and can change their pattern if necessary, but when 3 subs go on they havn't a clue what will occur and can cause chaos with the opposition, just my thoughts.

McManaman looked good fast and quick and very direct and very quick feet, the thing that stood out the most for me was how suddenly when he came on the old overlap was back with crainey and it made a difference.
Its important that we have somebody quick on the left up front for the simple reason Crainey seems to get more involved when he has that sort of player in front of him and it does make a big difference.
Just one more thing it would be nice to see the odd shot coming in from out side the box in hope the keeper spills it or it hits the back of the net.
A couple of times last night the ball broke just outside the area dead center but not a tangerine shirt in sight to hammer it home..

Some interesting posts on here.
Clearly a few people are looking for a more positive system and a settled first XI, myself included. The problem is that unlike last season we do not have a creative midfielder that can ping a ball 40yds to the feet of a winger with 5 players running on. Our passing game needs patience and practice, and we need more time for the team to gel. A more settled XI can only help. As the saying goes its the mark of a good team if we can win and not play well. So far we have managed this and with a good win on Saturday could well be top 6. Not bad for a team under construction.
Personally would like to see Bruna and Fergie in Midfield, with Fergie providing a solid base in front of the defence and Bruna running forward. Bruna should link up well with Ince or feed balls through for Kev and GTF. I only saw him play once but he was a handful and is bound to create chances. Bring Knasher on for Bruna if we need to tighten up.
Hey we could all be managers!
Just checked tickets Yeni and am in South Stand on Saturday for a change. Will be at F&Bs though at 2.00pm ish
