Not that any different from what is was at the Millwall game.. www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10432~2511811,00.html apart from no spectators in the South, of course! Don't they seem to realise that we're losing money (££££££ Karl) by not having it completed as soon as not forgetting the loss from lack of visiting fans in the East? Any idea when it is supposed to be finished, and hold? YL.

It might be open by the first week of jan for fans but will not be fully complete till end of feb, the reason its taken so long is because more work involved with the B&B part

I suppose its worth waiting a few extra months in order to provide the facilities we all expect from a modern day football club.
Anything mentioned concerning the building of the final stand as to complete the jigsaw?
Its a bit different to when I last stood at a game in the sheds.

For Crying out loud, we're still in business (which seemed unlikely when Karl took over), we've climbed the Leagues, had a season in the Premier League and look well placed for an immediate return there, which the likes of Middlesborough, Portsmouth, Bradford, Hull, Charlton, Southampton and Luton will confirm is no easy task . . . . and yet still people moan about the chairman !!
Either get a grip people or do one and go support Blackburn Rovers, then you can really have something to whinge about

To answer your question, Gulf, it's very unlikely that the Temporary east will be replaced in the short term I seem to remember that the civils were put in to cope with a permanent stand but : Would need the land where the houses are behind, mostly still privately owned Do we have the catchment to fill a bigger stand? The temp has a design life of 10 years, and I'm sure it would take a settled stay in the Prem to make it worthwhile to rebuild, with all the associated disruption and loss of revenue Having watched the early matches from there last season, it was OK, much better than the old days of the Scrattin shed It has been said by others, but walking up from F&B's to games, it is still so impressive considering what we had so recently, the external area is great, the statues fit so well, it really is something to be proud of

Ffs, why is it, when a simple, innocuous, question such as - when will such & such be completed? . . or whatever when will be done? etc etc that our esteemed chairman, boss, owner, or whatever he calls himself nowadays,
always seem to get it in the neck?
There was absolutely no 'hidden agenda' in my query......... just purely and simply a request for info on how it was going......
(I realise that we don't live in Turkey where a building block can go up and be completed in six months or less.)
Your last sentence, Ye Olde, is spot on.
YL.

don't think anybody was having a pop at Karl ? april13th1970. we normally tend to leave that to AVFTT, I can only speak for myself but karl is karl and have become use to it over the years.
just more work involved in doind this corner because of the Hotel and all that goes with that, I seem to remember that plans are in place to do the other corner, what held it all up is the council as they refused Karls plans to turn the old social club into a casino, only to allow somebody else to get the go ahead.
But then again some of the council hate the oystons ever since Owen accused them and the labour party of fraud lol

don't think anybody was having a pop at Karl ? Hmmm, maybe not but "yep, Karl is waiting for the January sales to nuy the toaster and kettle....." sure sounds that way to me Anyway, I totally agree with pretty much everything else in the thread, especially ye olde's comment about how good the ground looks these days

Knowing 4Stands as I do, April, I think his comment re the toaster & kettle were just a innocuous throw-away comment (in a jokenly manner) and nothing underhand was meant by it, and nowt to be taken seriously.
I think everybody, (at least nearly everybody), even though they will have no truck with the Oystons, will honestly admit that without them we wouldn't have a thriving club like we are.
Let's be thankful for small mercies, eh?
Handbags back in the wardrobes, please.
YL.
p.s. Thanks for your (part) answer, Sher, to the original post.
