Think its a case of Arnold being over subscribed and king teds loosing numbers and i see the gazette is really asking hard questions again, its clear what is going to happen to the buildings.
Hope they do better at selling them than they have done at selling flats at the old queen mary school

That's the bit I don't understand Sherlock, Arnold is doing fine so why do they need to be absorbed into a struggling school like Ted's
Got to say though . . . . . 30 years after leaving & 25 years after last visiting, I'm surprised how strongly I feel about my old school effectively closing

i think they need the room more than anything, i would imagine in a few years time the king teds part of the name will vanish

The latest on this saga is that we'll probably know what the future on these schools will be sometime in the next couple of weeks. The good old Charity Commission is looking into this proposed merger and will produce a result of sorts after the 14th of this month. See page 15 of today's 'Gazette' ( again!) - this issue is slightly complicated? due to the fact that both education establishments are run by a schools foundation and a church trust. KEQMS - Foundation Arnold - Church Trust. www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/education/end_in_sight_for_merger_crisis_1_3935031 YL.
