Overcast ground not too hard (going firm as they would say at Haydock?) grass crispy
and it's fookin' freezing!
Should be on, though.
Can't disagree with that selection, Rob, though what Wee Ollie puts out could be a completely different matter.
Hope the covers were down last night....

wonder if we could score in these 2 mins lol
POMPEY fans are set to show unity and perform a two-minute protest during today’s match away to Blackpool.
A rallying call was issued last night calling for fans to turn away from the action and spend two minutes clapping and chanting ‘Appleton’s Blue and White Army’.

That's it then, they should just bow to their superiors and spend the afternoon up the Tower! I hate stats like that, I've been Tangerine toooooo long to expect the logical! My counsellor says I have self esteem issues Still, I guess he knows better than me

Didn't wake up until the first two subs came on......
Considering that
Pompei are facing Admin and a ten-point penalty
their lowly position in the table
and their coach was parked on their goal-line.....
they didn't play like a team in their situation
we made hard work of the point we got, suffice to say.
We should have gone for the jugular from the off, not shilly-shally, dither-me-do, or whatever you want to call it.
Like at the last home game, LuLu, good player that he is, is the major culprit here with to much jinking about and getting tied in knots, resulting in being caught in possession more often than not.
There were too many loose balls, and passes to the opposition, from which they set up many an attack.
Mind you, the noise was fiercesome - the loudest I've heard them this year. Both sets of supporters gave it laldy. [What was the attendance?]
Henderson made one save all game, but what a cracker it was - flying full stretch to his left - in the second 45. That would have settled it if it had gone in - everybody of a Tangerine persuasion thought so, anyway, despite 'scoring' first - yes, it was well offside..
Crainie - who'd have thought it? Cracking free kick.
Donny next up.... away on Valentine's Day then it's the Brady Bunch on Tuesday 21st at 8 on our turf.
And it wasn't all that cold either.

Watched the game on the TV and I know it is not the same as being there, for a start it is a lot warmer on a seat at home, another tea luv, yes please dear. Thought you were right regards L L. had many chances to pass but has to go past one more defender and loses it. The most telling point I reckon was the endless high balls into their penalty area, hardly ever won one against their tall backs, passing is our game and threading the ball between their players would have thought was a better option. Might be wrong but they had a tad few more chances than us, could only remember Crainey's great free kick and Sylvestre's shot stopped from going in by their keeper as our best efforts. Need something now against Doncaster as the next home game against Hammers will not be a walk in the park, that's for sure.

I think some people look at Bednar as another Burgess, but I don't agree with that philosiphy (sic) - nodding down high balls to the wee forwards a la Big Ben - Roman is, and does, more than that he likes to get in and at 'em, which is what we need - a big forward in the Crouch mould who can give it a rumble. But I agree with what you say, Whit, re 'we play a passing game' but on the deck, which is what we're best at.
YL.

Ooops, sorry, Ye Olde, I forgot.... Statistics are like mini-skirts, they give you good ideas but hide the most important parts… but we all know what you mean, though.

To be honest after watching the game, i was thankful for a point in the end, for all our possession we were pretty toothless in the final third, where as Pompey looked as though they would score on every attack and could and should of been out of sight. In the end though both teams will think they should of won, so not to disappointed with a point. Agree above thought LuaLua has plenty to offer but is way over complicating stuff and slowing down our rytham and pace of the game. Their were a few players who didn't really impact the game, Matty being one of a few but on a positive note i thought Fergie was outstanding and controlled everything. Anyway not to critical a point gained and now we move on to the keepmoat to face Donny Tuesday night. UTP!!!

Just a word on L L i think Ian has to take some of the blame on that one the guy is playing in a position he is not use too and because the way he plays as in head down and running he missed the easy balls he could have played after he had done the hard work.
As of Bednar he got nothing all game from the ref and if your going to play him in the middle, ince and matty need to get the crosses in.
Karl tomorrow morning you need to get a team of grounds staff in, take the pitch out and lay a new surface it can be done and ready before the hammers game, give ollie and the boys the pitch to play on please

Good point Sherlock, absolutely spot on , don't think the pitch helped one bit, if were going to play passing footy on the deck we need a new pitch asap as players were taking extra touches on the ball to control it as it had more lumps and bumps than Audley Harrison after a fight!!!!! Cmon Karl invest in a new pitch and if we get promoted you'll get your MONEY back Karl!!! It's good business Karl!!!! If we don't get a new pitch, i fear more results and performances like last night will be waiting and hamper our promotion push. Dear Karl, Please can we have a new pitch, Pretty please.

united city and the prawn sandwich munchers put a whole new pitch down in a day before a champions match.
Look at it this way Karl just use the FA cup money, we can not expect matty for example to take one touch and run at them on our pitch at the moment and its clear for all to see on away matches when we get to play on a nice pitch
