Hope it works out for you lad
Billy Clarke has left Blackpool for an undisclosed fee to join League Two side Crawley Town on a two-and-a-half year contract.
The 24-year-old striker, who made his last appearance for the Seasiders in the FA Cup against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, moves to Steve Evans' side following the departure of Matt Tubbs to Bournemouth.
The Irishman arrived at Bloomfield Road on a free transfer from Ipswich in the summer of 2009 and became manager Ian Holloway's first signing in charge. His second season was hit by a serious knee injury, and he spent an earlier part of the current campaign on loan with Sheffield United.

I had high hopes for him this season but it wasn't to be. I think his lack of confidence was apparent against Wednesday so he's right take a step back and rebuild. Definately got the talent, works hard, and by all accounts a decent bloke.
Good luck Billy.
Really surprised he didn't ent up at Utd. cause he was an instant hit there. Probably down to a lack of funds.

Maybe he thought he'd be better without the Massive shadow in the city
Good luck to the lad, who knows, we may see him again in a few years.

I am sure he will do well with Crawley and wish him the best of luck.
As a side issue, can a player now play for 3 clubs in the same season?

He can play for as many clubs as he like as long as its not a loan i do believe. will dust of the rule book, oh forgot can't its at home and i am stuck on a fooking farm, house sitting in dumpdale in the cold and missing the match not that i am angry about any of that.
Strangely i thought he had his best game on Saturday lol

Looks like 3 clubs is the max per season
Currently under the FIFA Transfer Regulations a football player is unable to play for more than three teams in one season. This applies whether the player has been transferred or simply is on loan with that club.
This also applies regardless of what country that player has plied his trade in, whether that is in Europe, Africa or South America. As long as a player has represented a club in a league under the adjudication of a FIFA Member Association they will only be able to play for three different clubs.
However, this does mean that a football player is free to represent a total of three different clubs in any league in the world over the course of one season.
