Seems like the league need to take action now after reading this one way or the other. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17137954If they get towards the end of the season and then go bust i can see a lot of objections being raised by clubs to all results being wiped from the records. It definitely make interesting reading of a adjusted table if it happened now 1. Southampton 58 2. West Ham 54 3. Reading 54 4. Middlesbrough 52 5. Blackpool 51 6. Birmingham 51 7. Cardiff 49 8. Hull 48 9. Brighton 47 10. Burnley 47

Oh, the irony if Pompey going bust handed the Championship to Southampton

I cannot see a fair situation here. If it gets to the last game and 4 clubs are in the play-offs in a very tight league, with other clubs close, Pompey go bust completely after the playoffs have been completed. The play-offs are null and void, because one or more clubs shouldn't have been there?? a club that was automatically promoted should have been in the play-offs, or vice-versa??
Get shut now. sorry portsmouth fans.

Bet the motorbike courier is on stand by at west ham to drop of a mystery gift of a few million to stop them going bust and the hammers losing 6 points...
Portsmouth's financial plight means they may not be able to complete the current season, according to club administrator Trevor Birch.
Birch says Pompey, who entered administration in February, will not receive parachute payments from the Premier League as they will go straight to former owner Sacha Gaydamak.
