Former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler has trained with Blackpool with a view to joining until the end of the season.
The 36-year-old approached Tangerines boss Ian Holloway this week and could make his debut on Friday evening against Hull.
Fowler left British football in 2008 after a spell with Cardiff and has since played in Australia and Thailand.
He is the fourth highest scorer in Premier League history with 163 goals

At this rate, we should be called the "Pensioners"

yeni Ollie just trying to get the best of both worlds here we shall be known as the Chelsea Pensioners.
Personally not sure but have stopped passing Judgment on things like this after all in Ollie we trust, if he thinks he can add something its good enough for me.
might go and have a look at AVFTT because this is the sort of thing that normally sends them into melt down
Just remember one thing he asked Ollie not the other way round and i am sure if he is fit he could easily have picked up a role at some other clubs in the championship

AVFTT, have other things to occupy them, notably Canavan's article in the Gazette, which has obviously been missed by a few on here.

I read that but i have learned that over the years Canavan never writes anything like that unless an announcement is due in the next few weeks regarding issues for the simple reason he is not going to put the press relations with the club at risk after last time.
As for Fowler well done Karl one way of making sure we get rid of the surplus home shirts my money is on Shearer next then Owen

Canavan is just saying what we've all said before.
Karl will do just as he wants regarding the pitch and training ground so I'm just getting on with supporting the team and sod all the politics for now. Its not going to happen this season anyway.
We all know what we want for the club, but sadly we don't have access to the cheque book.
Maybe it'll be funded by Fowler shirts and is all part of a masterplan.
