While they try and find a decent plummer to turn of the flow of water on the sinking ship here are two statements about the matter lol
Club Statement
Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale has drawn a line under the club's investigation into accusations that players leaked team information to Sheffield Wednesday ahead of Saturday's game at Hillsborough.
Ridsdale, along with manager Graham Westley, met with the Preston squad on Monday to resolve an issue that has provoked dramatic claims and counter-claims of subterfuge at Deepdale ever since the npower League One club suffered a 2-0 defeat in Sheffield.
Westley claimed immediately after the game that the Wednesday bench had told him four Preston players had informed the Wednesday camp of their intended team and tactics on Friday night, though he has refused to name the culprits.
Ridsdale had already declared himself unlikely to launch any disciplinary action against individuals, and a statement released by the North End chairman is apparently the end of the matter as far as he is concerned.
Ridsdale said: "Immediately following Saturday's match at Sheffield Wednesday, comments were made with regard to the 'leaking of information' regarding our team and tactics.
"Further to a number of meetings held within the club, the club considers that this matter has now been dealt with and we will be making no further public comment on this issue."
And what happened in the real world at the meeting
At some point in the meeting Ridsdale had everyone quiet and made a bold statement saying that Westley will stay in charge for the rest of this season, and the whole of the next campaign no matter what happens between now and then.
And that the players who disagree or decide to go against what Westley says will be shown the door. Shortly after this Parry stood up and kicked off demanding an apology from Westley in regards to him being blamed as "one of the four players that leaked the line up(etc)" and a short reply from Westley was something along the lines of get stuffed.
