the Sunday afternoon before the Championship playoffs
Very different feelings from last time, when I was just heading to Wembley, to watch Blackpool play at HQ, with few expectations, and certainly thinking, even if we won, we couldn't cope with the Prem ( remember our 10 point target?) This time, I know we can both win and make a fight of it, so expectations are higher, but WHU are a different side to that which propped up the Prem last season
Aren't some of the Hammers fans arrogant, bet Fat Sam isn't so confident, though
Since when does a CB try a bicycle kick?
Haven't we learnt how to play the game, Gilksy's playing the time wasting card to the extent they were throwing stuff at him, enabling him to waste even more, was masterful
Not sure who put their foot on the ball, but slowing down and getting control back after Brum's 2 goals, the side really came of age.
Remember when we used to fade so badly at the end of a game last year, we really have done unto others as was done unto us, this year. Hats off to the personal fitness plans and all the players hard work.
GTF now plays more of a DJ role, swapping, dropping, hassling, defending, bullying defenders, the last few games are the best I have seen him as a team player, even if he has not scored, he has made space
Thanks to Macca, JonJo, Dobs, all provided a spark when we desperately needed it, I personally believe we are one player away from major achievement
Hope Ollie is working on dead ball strikes this week, Crains and Eards can't half shoot, but a bit more guile and curve, ala CA, would surely not go amiss. Oh, and get the whole flaming lot of them practicing penalties!
What ever happened to Sutherland?
Has the legend that is Keith Southern got a testimonial next year? I hope Ollie starts with the same team as Brum, but would not be surprised to see Gnasher's teeth put on later, he was MOM last time we went, wasn't he?
