BLACKPOOL defender Neal Eardley, who has his sights set on a return to the Premier League through the Championship play-offs, could also figure in Wales’ World Cup qualification campaign.
The 23-year old defender from Llandudno helped Ian Holloway’s side to victory over Birmingham City this week to earn a Wembley shoot-out against West Ham United on May 19 that will decide which club rejoins the top flight after both were relegated just 12 months ago.
And Eardley’s form for the Tangerines has also been noticed by new Wales manager Chris Coleman who yesterday named him in the squad for the friendly against Mexico in New York that takes place eight days later.
In five years since Eardley won the first of his 16 senior caps, he has suffered from both injury and loss of form, but his call-up puts him in the frame for the 2014 World Cup campaign that gets under way in September following one further friendly, against Bosnia, in August following his inclusion for the US trip on May 27.

Nice one. Good to see someone's watching.
Hope they don't teach him any bad habits after all Ollie's hard work.
