I think this really will make a difference and some very big clubs are going to have to get the house in order.. in the long run i think it will reduce the cost of buying and paying a player.
wonder which 3 voted against it? i would guess at west ham, brum and foxes
Championship clubs have voted in favour of introducing a groundbreaking new financial fair play model.
All but three of the Championship's 24 clubs voted in favour of introducing the model, which is based on UEFA's financial fair play regulations, and plans to curb Football League debt by limiting investment from owners and total spending.
Football League research has revealed that the 72 clubs that form the Championship, League One and League Two are on course to rack up a combined £2billion of debt unless spending and investment from 'sugar daddy' owners is curbed.
The regulations will be introduced next season on a gradual basis, but sanctions for non-compliance will not be put in place until the 2014-15 season.
Under the regulations, from the 2014-15 season, clubs who record total losses of over £6million will be hit with either a transfer embargo or a fine that could run in to the millions.
The club in question will be fined if they are promoted to the Premier League and will be hit with a transfer embargo if they remain in the Championship.
Owners will be allowed to invest £6million next season, £5million the following and £3million the following

I wouldn't be suprised if at least one of the smaller clubs,if not all three, voted against this. Clubs with large attendances have a base income and can survive with a few choice investments. Clubs with small attendances are very limited on how they can improve the playing squad, and if the owners investment has to go into facilities or ground development, thats the season over.
I'ts not as clear cut as it seems, and some chairmen/owners will find ways round it.

its okay having large gates but that money now has to basically run the club so in 2 seasons time for example the foxes are going to have to get the books balanced so the team will have to be cut down and all those high wages. which in the long run should drive the cost of transfers and wages which will help smaller clubs out. or they could follow Karls example and just give a bonus package, the more you play the better the team does the more you earn. How about west ham 110 million in debt it makes their situation rather drastic now, just more pressure on them now just what we need
