Saturday see's us travelling down to the smoke, to battle the lions in their den, is the pressure off or is this as big a game as any to get a result to ensure we have the 2nd leg in the play-offs at home or does it not matter, when, where and who we play. As Ollie has stated what we have achieved so far is incredible but how far can we go, can we win it!! Just typing this my heart is already racing and being a Blackpool supporter should come with a health warning as the next 2 weeks are going to be intense with plenty of ups and downs. Either way lets just enjoy the trip and see where we end up and maybe just maybe we may be back in the Premier league come May 19th at a full sun soaked Wembley stadium!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***Health Warning**

Supporting blackpool has never been an easy straight forward task. especially since I have been living away from the seaside for the last 24 years. The last 10 years has been slightly easier, having transport and slightly improved income. ...and then the internet along with digital radio strolled in to assist those days where one couldn't get there. All of a sudden, nailbiting tension was introduced miles away from the action. The old days on BBC where the text updates appeared, followed by 606 where you could converse online with supporters from all over (but the 3 minutes posting rule was infuriating when we scored and you had just posted something).
Then all of a sudden justinTV was invented and the MightyPool channel allowed instant chatroom with radio broadcast if we were lucky. - 606 match threads were empty.
TangerinePlayer came along to depress us all, the commentators were monologue exiting and tony parkes interviews were on a par with the queens speech at grandmothers.
As we climbed the championship, all of a sudden Ustream and ATDHE stated to show Blackpool live on TV!!! The commentator may have been foreign , or even commenting on a different match, and the quality was decidedly variable, but who cared.
2nd leg play-off against Nottingham Florists saw a table flap get smashed in the excitement online as Dudleys hat trick happened. I was in a boat, in Hertfordshire, on a canal outside a Waitrose!!!
The Premier League experience was every match streamed on either P2P, Ustream or similar, more providers appear each month with Sopcast now providing excellent quality. I only missed one game last season either live or online. This season has reverted to occasional live TV but mainly TangPlayer streamed. There are a few of us appear in this chatroom most weeks and watch where we can.
and the tension, the nailbiting doesn't go away..........
We have a wonderful few weeks ahead, lets hope this weekends match is treated seriously and keeps our momentum going.

Good post there, 4Stands. To your question, Rob - "... is the pressure off..." In many ways, I would say Yes, in another way, No. Yes, because we'ved achieved the first step in our goal of reaching the Promised Land - we're in the Play-Offs. And yes, the majority of the hard work, in doing that, has been done. No? We still have to get thru the POs and Wembley, and this is where things can get a bit tricky: Who do we fear in those teams whom we could come up against? Do we care who we get in the POs or do we try to make things easier for ourselves in winning at Millwall, and facing the 'easiest'(?) team of the PO Zone teams? Or do we take it as it comes, in losing or drawing at The Den? Do we go out attacking and hope we win and get one of the 'lesser lights' of the other three (not much choice there, really!) in the PO draw, or does Wee Ollie field a " Second Eleven" team in order to preserve the players' strengths for the POs and Wembley? In many ways, it is, or could be, academic whether we win, lose, or draw, other results may not go 'our way', as it were. Wee Ollie will have to weigh up his choices this weekend: I know what I would do, though. Mr Ian Holloway, The Choice is Yours. p.s. At the ground this am renewing our seasons, and who rolled up and parked in a disabled parking slot in front of the ticket office...... none other than the great man hissel' - 'Double O'.

Just with reference to the play-offs, not bothered who we play, but i would prefer the first leg at home!!! The reason is most teams don't know what to do in the first leg, go for it , stay cautious and don't concede and we have the 2nd leg at home to turn anything around!! Where as the Pool only know one way, home or away attack attack attack. If we play the 1st leg at home against whoever, they will be wary of our attacking and try and get a draw(park the bus) and think they have the 2nd leg but if we have a lead, i think it would work in our favour as they would need to come out and take the game to us and our pace would cause any team problems on the counter attack. Good post roads

cheers yeni and rob.
West Ham are guaranteed the first leg away, I actually fancy that if we have to, we did Forest in that order. I really don't think it matters who we get, or which order, so long as we play to our strengths and the same we we have played recently. Are the yellow cards quashed going into the play-offs anyone?? I wouldn't want to lose any key member of the team due to a soft yellow at Millwall.

Who cares, we have 4 games left this season, after we demolish the current in-form team in the division (5 straight wins) on Saturday, we will be feared by all the other teams in the play-offs
4 more games, 4 more wins, simples

That would be freaky if we did another perfect 10 for promotion.
This weekend could be intresting with the fixtures with us and Birmingham (as good in) to be in the play offs and with West Ham or Southampton being second and Cardiff and Boro all could finish in 7th.
I expect Southampton to beat Coventry to take 2nd place but not sure about the other games
Southampton V Coventry Birmingham V Reading Crystal Palace V Cardiff Watford V Middlesbrough West Ham V Hull
