Sky Sports understands Barcelona and Real Madrid legend Michael Laudrup is set to be named the new manager of Swansea City.
The 47-year-old has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Brendan Rodgers, who left the Liberty Stadium at the beginning of June to join Liverpool.
Swansea initially targeted Wigan assistant boss Graeme Jones, but talks broke down and they have since been looking at other options.
Chairman Huw Jenkins has been heading up Swansea's search for a new boss and the likes of Blackpool's Ian Holloway and Brighton's Gus Poyet have been linked with the position.

So looks thankfull yollie is not going to be the new swans manager. Now we just have to put up with a week or so of rumors no doubt about him being linked to the Brum job. But never fear as no way in this world would karl drive his car to Birminghams Ground.
By the way Karl Brum are not a bigger club in fact they could find themselves minus 10 points before the season even starts

There's more chance of him going to QPR!

Wait for the Everton rumours to start if Moyes replaces Redknapp

If . . . . Redknap goes and has any say in choosing his replacement I doubt it will be Moyes . . . . and who would blame Olly if he took the Spurs job

I dont understand why Karl won't just get Ollie tied down to a contract. Unless it is Ollie saying if you don't offer decent money I'm not having a long contract

In the end, contracts don't mean doodly squat, remember Larry?
I too wish it would all calm down, the thought of being a couple of weeks away from the start of the season with no one at the helm, no players being signed, fills me with horror.
Come on Ollie, repay our devotion with a positive statement of intent

Well now Harry has gone the whole merry go round will start again at least he will not be in the running for spurs. now depends again on who moves to spurs.
as for contracts it makes one difference when it comes to compo when you compare a 1 year contract to say a 3 year contract, just ask the swans they have had over 10 million in compensation in 3 years

If you want to be a manager in the Prem for a "big" club you need to show that you can compete and even exceed in that division just like Brendan Rogers and Paul Lambert have done. Much as we love him, Ollie hasn't!
Calm down lads. He isn't going to want a relegation battle on in his first season and would rather demonstrate his abilities by taking the pool back to the Prem and keeping them there for more than one season. If he does that he'll go............... and with the blessing of everyone at Bloomfield Rd.

Laudrup is the new swans manager so thats that done. Now the only problem is MartÃnez is being linked to spurs.
If that happens i can see Wigan asking to speak to ollie and i have this horrible feeling he would seriously consider taking it.

I should really post this on the rumour site but wait for this, my brother has been out in Poland with his misses who is Polish and were at the Spain v Italy game and were chatting to a group of Italian supporters from Bedford, when the topic of club football came up, and when he said he was a Blackpool fan, one of the guys apparently said that Ollie was about to move to Italy as his next project in management! Cut along story short i laughed my head off, then realised, where has Ollie been on his holibobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ollie's gone european!
