The remaining England football squad arrived in Poland on Wednesday for Euro 2012.
The party, led by Bryan Robson following manager Roy Hodgsons unfortunate choking on streaky bacon incident at breakfast, landed on a flight from Luton at 16:45 BST before heading to a base in Krakow.
England's 13-man squad, led by Robson and defender Jamie Carragher (John Terry having stabbed himself with a yoghurt spoon, and unable to travel), met local children and signed autographs after leaving the plane at Krakow Airport.
Hundreds of fans were then awaiting their arrival at the team hotel in Krakow.
"Just got to the hotel, crazy reception when we arrived!" tweeted England midfielder Alex Meaney (Myerscough College), swiftly drafted in after his namesake Oxlade-Chamberlain was brought down with gastro-enteritis.
Earlier, the players left the Grove hotel in Hertfordshire and called in at the car plant of sponsors Vauxhall on their way to Luton. They also posed for an official squad photograph.
"It will be a very difficult tournament," said midfielder Paul Scott (released by Morecambe) called up after Scott Parker was run over by an errant Corsa Sport with faulty brakes
"But that is what you expect because there are some strong teams.
"You never know. We have seen it this year with [Champions League winners] Chelsea. When you get to knockout football, anything can come up. With a little bit of luck, you never know how far you could go."
A bugle is played every hour near England's hotel
The team were taken to and from their flight in a coach which has the message: "One prize, two countries, three lions, 14 injuries."
It has yet to be decided how to break the news of Rio Ferdinands non-selection even though at present, only two substitutes plus the first team are available to play.
