First of all if Ollie did decide to go, I don't think anybody could hold it against him he has been fantastic for the club and brought it back alive.
Personally i think he might just stay for a few reasons
1. He must enjoy being left alone to get on with it and not have to fear chairman's knee jerk illness like most clubs
2. He was talking to 2 players yesterday about joining the club
3. The past has taught him bigger is not always better
What he needs is some backing from Karl in the transfer and wages department this year and you can not get away from that, I don't think its even a case of big player signings as he is able to see potential in players but we just need to stop the silly offers that alert other clubs and stupid wages offers.
If the worst did happen who would we get to replace him? In my mind because the way the squad has been built to the style of play that Ian wants them to play i would have to say the only option is Tommo a new manager with different ideas would want to build his own squad.
I don't think a new manager has time to build and change things as the squad is so dam close to being complete to challenge for automatic promotion.
Please Karl back and secure the golden goose that has already laid one golden egg for you.

Funny you say that about Thommo, cos I have been thinking the same. WE are so close, a new manager, new style, new players, would put us back in the pack. Mind you, I cannot see another manager coming in, when KO wouldn't give them much of a transfer budget.
Unfinished business, Ollie, unfinished business

Why can't Scrooge just pull his finger out and back his manager that he bought to the club! or is the excitement of us pushing for promotion each year and the fact we could make the Prem next year all to much, and he'll bring in a new manager(lap dog) to rattle us back down the leagues to obscurity! and ruin every thing Ollie has achieved for the club!!!!! p*ssed off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What Karl fails to realize is 5 players that turned us down in the last 18 months either because of transfer fee refused by the parent club or failing to agree personal terms have now gone on to greater things or caused us harm.
4 of them are moving on for transfer fees of anywhere between 4-7 million by all accounts and
one guy that we agreed a transfer fee for but yet again could not agree terms long before he joined his new club was Vaz Tez how costly was that decision i wonder?
trust Ollie Karl let him shop in the 450k - 1.5 milliion area and he will provide the guys we need and with us only needing about 5/6 players and with better wages would come to no more than 11 million, wonder were we can borrow that from?

Having said that, I think everyone is pointing the finger at Karl way too much as I believe part of this may be Ollie trying to engineer himself a bigger (but not necessarily better) job.
If that is the case (and I'll probably get shot down in flames for posting this) then he needs to remember what happened last time he went for the big move and the subsequent debacle.
He also needs to realise that the owners and supporters have given him the opportunity to rebuild his reputation from that of, quite frankly a self-promoting egotistical failed buffoon to that of one of the top 5 English managers in the game and show some fricking loyalty to the people who have given him that chance
He's also said a lot of good things about the club, the players, the fans and even, occasionally, Karl, so did he really mean those things and does he want to continue to, as he has said on several occasions, want to build something enduring . . . . or . . . . was it all just smoke and mirrors and he really wants to go back to being football's answer to Boris Johnson ?

Who said this ?
" I had a year out of football and had to think about what went wrong in my life. I was given some decent values from my mum and dad in our council house, and one of them was honesty and trust and loyalty. and I forgot to do all that at Plymouth. I left them. and I made the biggest mistake of my life."
