Loved Shearer as a player, not so sure about as a pundit. However, I think he has got it spot on here www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18619259I wouldn't want to lose him, but maybe the FA needs Ollie, Or Martinez, or Rodgers, as Development Director, a sort of Training Czar for the kids. Teach them to pass, keep the ball, learn the game. Don't allow the big clubs to ruin and discard them for short term gain. National Strategy, I know it's a bit radical!!

I think your right the youngsters are the key but they are treated like cattle and often put to slaughter to early.
I think the FA needs to step in and sort something out like a draft maybe. each club puts 5 players up for development and they are taken by the teams outside the prem in league 1 and 2 and conference it would give them time to learn their trade.
