At last Sir Holloway has spoken the future is bright the future is Tangerine for Ian.
There has been a lot of speculation regarding my future over the summer, so I would like to assure Blackpool’s fans that I am planning to be back at pre-season training on July 9 – and I can’t wait to get started.
I can’t say it’s not been flattering to see my name linked to a couple of Premier League jobs over the summer.
Because it proves I am still doing things right at Bloomfield Road.
But if the Tangerine Army are worried my head has been turned, they can forget it.
In the month since we lost the play-off final to West Ham, I have recharged my batteries.
And before I put the squad through the gruelling routine of getting fit for another campaign, I have a few plans I’d like to see come to fruition.
Of course, every manager wants more players and more money for transfer fees and wages.
And my chairman Karl Oyston always makes sure that we cut our cloth accordingly.
I haven’t even been able to bring myself to watch that game again.
Not out of disappointment but because I needed to have a clean break from the game.
I have been on holiday to Rome and then moved my family into a new home in Bath.
But I know that it is now time to really get back down to business.
And if I can get my way, with two or three new recruits, I am sure we will once again be punching well above our weight.

interesting to see that he only wants 2/3 players... come on Karl it must be the shortest list you have ever had of any manager lol

Depends how you look it, i'd rather have 2/3 new top class recruits, rather than 6/7 average has beens!!! with the money he has to spend this summer! Think were only 2/3 players myself away from a squad that could go all the way this season, don't forget we've got Grandin to come back aswell and this could be the season for him to show us what we signed and come to fruition on the famous stage of all, Bloomers!!!! Great news Ollie, we love you!!!
