From the gazette, my question is he worth 1.1 million?
BLACKPOOL are locked in a four-way chase for the £1m signing of Stephen Dobbie.
Ian Holloway wants to add the Swansea man to his squad for next season, after the striker blasted six goals in eight matches during a loan spell at the end of the last campaign.
The Gazette understands Dobbie remains available for transfer, despite a change of manager at Swansea – Michael Laudrup named as Brendan Rodgers’ successor last week.
The Swans have slapped a £1.1m price-tag on Dobbie but that hasn’t put clubs off.
As well as Blackpool, Celtic, Middlesbrough and Bristol City have all made contact with the Premier League club to register an interest in the 29-year-old (right).
Holloway has supplied chairman Karl Oyston with a list of players he wants, including Dobbie.
In a sign of his commitment to the club, the manager has also held lengthy talks with club secretary Matt Williams about a timetable for pre-season.
The players will report in on July 9 ahead of a Mediterranean training camp.

Oddly enough, at 29, I don't think Dobs is the finished article, he is still too inconsistent. Exactly the type of player who Ollie specialises in improving, and when he's good, he's very good, and his movement and ability to change position with those around him fits our style of play to a T. I think he is actually worth more than that TO US, hope we can get him nailed down in time for pre season.
Meditteranean? Gosh, things are looking up!

I too think Dobbie is well worth the money and proved last season, that when we were coughing and spluttering, he came in and lifted us straight away! He knows the club and players and fits into our system, so it's not as though we don't know what were getting and vice versa with Dobbie! I'm not saying go out and smash as much money as he wants, as we no that doesn't happen but a little ambition and money would help us short term and long. I firmly believe without Dobbie coming in, we would of missed out on the play-offs altogether! I think out off all the clubs interested, he'll choose us as he knows were heading in the right direction and a couple of more addition, we'll be as strong as anyone in the league, but to sustain us and move forward it needs investment in the playing squad or we;ll be caught and overtaken by more ambitious clubs! No mickey mouse offer's or wages Karl, if we move forward, we'll get to the Prem and you'll get it all back and some, speculate to acumalate Karl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers Yeolde! That's a first lol!!!!! Bit worried now though as Celtic seem to be in pole position, according to SSN this morning! He's just waiting to see if he has a future at Swansea and has openly admitted he would be open to a move to the SPL side! Does Dobbie really want to play in a mickey mouse league with one club in it now! or does it come down to the age old saying MONEY makes the world go round!

Time to rock the boat and hide behind the as personally i don't think he is worth the 1.1 million asking fee. He fits our style of play but can ollie keep him playing all year long? as he does go through spells of going missing for games at a time. I would love him to sign as he would add to the squad but would not like to think we would spend more than 750k on him

I agree with Sherlock half way. If he goes to the northern wastes, it it purely money driven.. I am not sure that he has enough years left in him to want to come to us on anything other than a loan period.
.....and as to the pre-season Mediteranean Training Camp, Karl has just given the itinerary out to the players. Meet at Squires Gate Training ground, lunch at Nando's.

With a fit GTF i think he will struggle to start with matty and tom on the wings.
That leaves midfield and to me the first name on the sheet has to be Angel leaving southern ferguson ludo, bash and grandin all fighting for 2 remaining starting role if you add Dobbie in as well its getting a bit crowded
