I for one hope it is true.
I know a lot of fans were turned against DJ because of the way he left to stay in Premiership football and who knows but we would probably be back there if he had stayed with us. But who can blame a player wanting the best for himself. I think he probably now realises Ollie knows what makes him tick and although money is important , players have got to enjoy what they are doing and from what all players who have played for us have said it has been their best time in football.
Please get him back!

I know your feelings on him April but i hope it is true for the simple reason that there would be no need for him to learn the system and only needs to prove his fitness. He could be good for 12-15 goals which could make all the difference to the season.
Look at it this way if we had a front line of matty, ince and gtf and where a goal down with 20 mins to go and on the bench you had dicko, kev and DJ that know the system compared to the 2 nathans that are going to take a while to fit in I know which I would rather have.
Yes he did a runner but all footballers do if they are offered double wages and a location 20 mins from home and the club that signed him agreed he could leave in the first place for the same fee as he signed for.
also lets not forget
In his first loan he helped keep us in the championship His second loan his goals got us to the play off final and the premiership
When he signed for us his goals nearly kept us in the premiership and he was the highest english goal scorer that year
He has only ever really been anything when with the pool.
At least in the premiership he wanted to be in the team all season not like Charlie who wanted out in January.
yes his sending of against Wolves cost us but so did charlie's penalty and free kicks awarded against us after one of his specila tackles and his attempts to goal ratio is not the best but he gets the attempts in and that is what I think we are missing.
Don't care how we do it or who we use to do it but we need to do it this season

I for one hope it's true, agree with shopkeeper, DJ needs us and i think we need his goals, so perfect match. DJ stated he wanted to go back to London because of his family are their and to play for his boyhood club, if it was reversed with all our family in Blackpool but you were playing for QPR and Blackpool came calling would you go! answer yes, because were from Blackpool and were Blackpool supporters! so i think we need to give DJ a bit of slack, money or no money. The fact is he needs to get his career back on track and states he would favour a move to us and he knows how much we will pay him so to me it's not money orientated, but a last chance saloon.

I would stick in a clause though that if we took him with a view to a perm move it has to be for 3 years and no get out this time

I'd be pleased to welcome him back. His work ethic is second to none and he's scored many goals in key games for us in the past. He'll now have something to prove too. What I particualy liked about his game is his ability to hold the ball up and then lay it off to a pacey winger (and we have a couple of them!!). He then pops up to bang it in. Very direct player, links up well and is a big threat. I couldn't care less about the badge kissing and its a fact of life that players all want to play at the highest level. Its very rare to get a home gown hero thats a genuine fan. All I know is he loves playing for us and will score goals.

If love to have DJ back.
He'd still make room for Gary Crappy-Fletcher though.

To be brutally honest, if he's going to be in the same dressing room as GTF, I can only assume it's to lick GTF's boots clean.
He's a petulant little oik who's behaviour in the Wolves game and subsequent suspension probably cost us our place in the Premier League.

With regards to DJ though, I can understand why he left, even if I didn't like it. Like Rob said, if it were any of us playing down south, and the Pool came calling, it would be hard to turn them down. As long as he wants to come back, and Ollie and the changing room want him back, he's welcome as far as I'm concerned.

Regards the badge chewer, I think folk are in danger of starting to write the script to suit themselves.
Everybody knows my take on it so I wont go there again.

Still gives me goosebumps even now, Remember DJ your a long time retired and your golden memories will always be tangerine ones. So might as well come back and make some more.
Ignore your agent after all he has made his money out of you over the last 3 years
