Well, that result wasn't much cop, was it?
Below par Pool performance, but persistently good defending, away from home against a pretty good team, and lost only to the dodgiest penalty decision coming out of dodgshire since dodginess was created
And I think Ollie was right to be upset, extra time shortened, at least he walked away rather than getting into a spat with the 4th official, well done, sir, we need you.
Oh, and we are still top of the Championship, onward and upward.

Leicester deserved to win for their overall workrate and chances, swamping us when we got anywhere near their goal, but in my opinion in no way was it a penalty so we could say we were robbed.
But as you say we are still top so no need to cry as there are sure to be reverses on the way.

Very below par performance but last year we would have let in 3/4 and we are still top, Its early days still but I think playing Ferguson really does spoil our Midfield and the ability to zip the ball around for me. There is one spot in the midfield that should between Osbourne, Ferguson and Robertson and on the matches so far Osbourne should have the spot.
But hopefully Ian can sort it all out and i am still looking forward to us starting with Ince and Matty

I thought Baps was brilliant in defence, as per usual. We did just seem to be missing a step or two, although as it's the first game I've seen all season, I can't really say from where. Fair play Leicester though, pressured us hard. Never a penalty though, softest decision I've seen in a long time, I think the pressure from their fans made the ref cave a little, they were really vocal after the offsides against them

The one thing we do know is Ollie is his own fiercest critic, and he will learn from the performance. Wouldn't be surprised to see BF on the bench, coming on to help close our games. Likewise Dicko as impact sub for a little longer. Nothing against either, just it didn't quite gel in the same way. I wonder if Matty's head is in the right place, I'm sure after the issue with Charlie in the January Prem window, Ollie is wary of putting non committed players back in full time, with Charlie he didn't have an option cos Pie Man wasn't up to speed. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see the starters v Ipswich back for Barnsley, with similar results. By the way, it suddenly seems my favourite player is Tommy B, hmmmm, thought it was all of them LOL

I agree, think Ferguson role is from the bench now to close games out but it will work its self out with more games and the ref gave the pen because he had already turned down 2.
As for Matty i am sure ollie will sort him out after all if he wants his big move he needs to shine and will take some pressure off Tom

Thought i'd wait for the dust to settle before posting, as i have a habit of foot and mouth without thinking, but i have to say nothing has changed since yesterday, was a very poor performance all round and really disappointing, everything that could of gone wrong did! don't like to criticise the players but for what it's worth here's my markings! Gilks 8/10 Eardley 4/10 Baps 9/10 Cathy 8/10 Crainey 4/10 Gomes 3/10 Osbourne 8/10 GTF 4/10 Ince 6/10 Dicko 6/10 Fergie 5/10 Kev 7/10 Fonz 2/10 Matty 6/10
One thing that surprised me was Sir Ollie saying we had as much of the ball as them, well it didn't seem that way but maybe because they did a lot more with it than we did, Penalty apart, were totally outplayed, out thought and out classed. I know Ollie wants to tinker and keep players fresh but certain players just didn't gel! anyway international break now and i know Ollie will have em raring to go come next game and yes still top of the league!

Is Evo injured or something as I can't understand why he didn't start if he's fit ? Cathcart as usual put in a performance that showed why United were happy to let him go. Frankly if Evo is injured, I'd rather see young Eastham in the team than out and loan learning to smell of fish. Gomes too lightweight (constantly bullied off the ball) and Osbourne too clueless (either in the wrong place or passing to the wrong place). We need Angel in the midfield But, I'm still in from seeing Ferguson finally play a forward pass

Evo is fit, The problem in my humble view started by naming Ferguson to start for the simple reason Osbourne has been very good just sitting in the middle breaking things up and keeping it simple and Gomes needs angel with him in the middle. If Fergi is to start Osbourne can't.
It was clear that we went back to the long ball pass to early.
But its one game, lets hope normal service resumes shortly
