The ski-resorts in Scotland are quite well known, however, England also has 5 ski areas which have winter permanent tows in place. Name them. (none of the indoor chilled warehouses I may add!!)

One could be Rawtenstall/Rossendale?
Another could be on Pendle Hill at Sabden?
There's one in the Lakes as well?
Swadlincote/Church Gresley in Derbys.
Snowdon in Wales?

I should have stressed snow ski-ing, not plastic ski-ing too, sorry.
You have one in the right area (The lakes) but a bit more specific could be good...(they have been ski-ing up there at the same spot for 75 years.......)

Ye Olde will be the best person to give you the exact spot for the Lakes one - I've heard of it but can't remember..... Another might be in the Pennines somewhere, again, memory fails me.....

Apart from those above, they could be anywhere - I'm not into that sport... I value my life - not to go breaking my neck or a leg!

reet, gotta go out. Raise, behind Helvellyn is where Lake District Ski Club have their tow, as I said, they have been ski-ing there for 75 years this year. The tow has run 38 times so far this season. The others are Weardale on Teeside,Yad Moss on Teeside, Allenheads in Allendale near Hexham, and Harwood is on Upper Teeside, past High Force. Here's Harwood a week ago...

and the answer to Q # 186 is...... Author Rudyard Kipling and delivered by KG V in 1932. So now you know, Sher. And now for a ' sport' question..... Q # 187There is a famous race called (in English) the “Man Versus Horse Marathon”
A cross-country course is laid out and human competitors pit their stamina against a posse of chosen horses. The course is 22 miles long with many natural obstacles to overcome. The steep slopes are a great test of endurance of both man and beast, and the tricky forestry, which a man may dart through, but which a horse can only travel round.
Where (town and country) and when is this 'Race'?Time up for this Q is around 8:30pm... unless of course........
