Morning all.
You guys know my views pretty well, for good or bad(!) and you know how positive I try to stay whatever is going on on and off the pitch.
But
Is anyone as uneasy as I am that Ollie's family has moved back south, he is living in rented accommodation rather than buying? When my paranoia kicks in, I wonder if when he was talking about Matty only moving to a top 6 side, he was also talking about himself. Spurs like their attacking footy, have a good squad and money available, anyone think he fancies stepping into Harry's size nines next summer, after hopefully getting the Mighty promoted?
Feel free to prove I'm talking rubbish, you would be putting me out of my misery.

Sorry Ye Olde but I can't help to dispel your paranoia as I'm suffering from the same thing myself.......especially the selling of Matty thing which looks very similar to the Charlie thing to me! It does seem odd that he's moved back down south and I'm sure there's a very good reason for it......hopefully it's only a temporary thing and he'll soon be back!

Can not help with your fears either, been wondering myself about it for the last few days, no doubt the gazette will ask the question? Not!

I said the same on the "Next Three Matches" thread. I am very concerned that Oyston's lack of progress where a chairman should do his stuff has finally got to Olly and assisted his decision.

Ollie and BFC is a perfect marriage. He has catapulted the club into the big time and has the support of the fans regardless of results. All the flack has been aimed at KO, rightly or wrongly, and he has demonstrated that he is capable of dealing with it. Any manager would be rightly jealous of his position.
I have nothing but praise for Ollie but his management style is that of a motivator and developer of raw talent. He is not (and never will be) an international negotiator for world class players and manager of big egos.
If Roy Hodgson can get gobbled up and spat out at Liverpool, A Wenger on remand at Arsenal, AVB hanging by a thread then I'm glad to say Ollie would not be right for Tottenham or any other top six.
I also happen to believe that he is old school and not motivated solely by money and a short term shot for a big club when he will most likely last a season.
I'm sure one day he will move on but not for a few years yet. There is nothing for him football wise in the South West and why would he go anywhere else?
Hope that helps!

No doubt that him and Karl get on which by its self is a miracle, not getting into the whole Karl debate as its all been said before but maybe a new training ground and pitch relaid in the summer would help Ollie, just think what he could do then.

I find it very strange aswell, their's more to this than meets the eye. Not tying Ollie down to a long term contract is going to bite Potter in the ass! and we may or may not lose the best manger we have had in decades but if Potter gets compensation, he'll probably be happy! I have a sneaky suspicion Ollie is going to be the next England manager!!! Watch this space............ Sherlock you have contacts in high places(Potter) can you shed any light!!!! Just between friends

I think Sherlock has touched on a subject close to Ollie's heart, the training ground. I am sure he was more than aware following his interview with KO that we are not a club that spends a great deal on players and was more than happy taking a mixture of young talent from the lower leagues and the more mature older players who perhaps had seen better days. He probably thought when taking the job he could do something with the players I have mentioned and after he and KO both comented in a press report about the terrible training facilities, probably thought rightly so that a new training ground would happen. If anything has got him down, yes even relegation, I think the training ground issue is probably the biggest problem. In hindsight he probably sees the reserved team issue with such a large squad a bad decision, the pitch once again will not help his type of football, so in a nutshell forgetting the financial constraints, he has probably had a tough time one way or another. Will he go, I would not be surprised if we fail to get promotion, him leaving and I am pretty sure if we do get promotion the club will go about things in a diferent way, with Ollie still at the helm of course.

I agree Whit (and Sher) the training ground situ is just ridiculous. It really is about time the players got decent facilities and I'm sure Ollie is pretty peed off about not having something suitable.
I wholeheartedly back KOs stance on agents but even he must see the benefit of a good training ground. FFS Karl its LAND..... you can't lose. Anyone know what that land is going to be used for at the north end of the ground. Its just a wasteland at the moment and would be perfect?

You mean where the Mecca used to be? Guest of ours a few weeks ago said it was supposed to be new Blackpool Tech, but it fell through due to lack of funds?

The thing is the club has already bought new land in Garstang to the tune of 1 million if the accounts are to believed just wish the gazette would ask the question.
Come on pitch and training ground please Karl pretty please with sugar and cherry's on top and some sprinkles
