If you have nothing better to do on a Wednesday afternoon? The Seasiders' reserve team is in action on Wednesday afternoon when they play host to Manchester United at Bloomfield Road, kick-off 4pm. With no game this weekend and a number of players returning to full fitness Pool boss Ian Holloway has named a strong side to take on the Red Devils. Influential skipper Charlie Adam asked to play following his two-match ban and the Scottish international is joined by the French duo of Elliot Grandin and Ludovic Sylvestre in the heart of midfield. Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Luke Varney, Sergei Kornilenko, Malaury Martin, Chris Basham, Sala Sbai and Matt Phillips make up the remainder of the side with Mark Halstead in goal. On the bench Pool can call on young 'keeper Elliot Tarney, Ishmel Demontagnac, Stephen Husband, Liam Tomsett and Adam Dodd.

Is this a pay at the gate job? Never been to a reserve game before but this looks like excuse to sneak off early

You going, John?
Where do we sit - in our normal Season Ticket seats, or all crowd into the East?
Has it be (un-)officially nicknamed yet?
..previously known as 'The Open Golf'....

Well, watched the game on the Pc and like last week really enjoyed it even more because we beat Man U 2-1. Must have been a few hundred in the west stand and thoroughly entertaining game it was, with Pool playing in their normal attacking mode. Varney opened up the scoring followed by an own goal from Basham, a free kick coming in from the side of the box, he went to head it out but came off his head into the net, as it happens I think Halstead had it covered. Blackpool first half dominated and although seconed half Man U came into the game at about the 1hr mark, Pool carried on in attacking mode and the game was now end to end. A good move from GTF to Phillips who pushed it forward for Korlienko to drive it in under the diving GK. Seems odd that no ball boys about, right at the end poor old Halstead had to wade into the south stand to retrieve the ball, can't cost much for a few lads about the place can it.

Had the pleasure of Big John's company in the West, after meeting up at F&B's for a pint.
If you're talking about the 'Pool number 3 - personally, I think he was a bit overawed with the likes of Charlie, Matty, Fletch and Luke V in the line-up being just a young lad - I have seen him play before, and better, but today I thought he was carp. Would say he 'passed back more than forward'.
And there were no pies for half-time! And I missed their goal...
But our #6 - Crainey watch out - he's after your place! Sala had a cracking game.
Korni - the jury is still out..........
All in all, an enjoyable early-spring afternoon what with a 2-1 win against the "mighty Manchester United" who had only Bebe and Obertan of note starting. The only visitors I could see were a 20-odd bunch in the north, whereas the West was pretty full (for a reserve game).

Well just thawed out having been to watch the game and if I may be so bold,a few observations. First the negatives. both myself and Yeni agreed during the game that the boy Dodds was a disappointment having read the rave revues from the last reserve game.First half he didnt get past the full back once, his crossing was rubbish and he didn't bother to defend!!apart from that he did ok. Second half there was some improvement but no where near yet (sorry) Lodo was lazy and was blowing after 20mins think he needs to cut out the fags and late nights,he's down the pecking order for me and shouldnt even be considered for t'rovers Positives Saladin,as you all know I'v been very interested in him so today for me was my first chance to see him in the flesh and he didn't disappoint. As far as I could make out he won every single challenge he went in for he's got pace vision and a sweet left foot and though he was playing at CH he looked like he could be a really good left back 5stars mom Charlie GTF and Elliot looked a little ring rusty at first but all as the game progressed started to find their rhythm, pleased that they all played the 90mins. The Henchman first half I must admit I was a little disappointed didnt seem to be able to work out where he should be but Ollie must have drawn a few pictures at half time ans second half looked more the player we hoped he would be. Message to the suits, please please order more than five pies, turn on the beer pumps and provide a couple of ball boys (Isn't that what apprentices are for)it surly thats not too much to ask for,is it? Oh and we won 2-1 by the way

what was interesting, watching it on line you could hear word for word what ollie was saying on the touch line in the first half before he went back upstairs. something you don't get to hear on a first team match day

Big John and I both heard him where we were sat, in 'P' Section. Not exactly a 'Swirling Dervish' - more of one of those native peoples from Africa who jump up and down on the spot barnishing their spears and shields... (their name escapes me just right now). Masai or summat?
